I was surprised when I seen that Father & Son team Joel & Adam Dorn had nothing to do with this project which made me have second thoughts about buying this, but put ALL fears aside, compliers and/or staff members Russ Musto & Todd Barkam did a fantastic job on presenting a full jazz spectrum on music associated with Brazil. Carefully picked tracks performed by jazz legends like Al Cohn & Zoot Sims, Jimmy Ponder & Dr. Lonnie Smith, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green, Houston Person & Ron Carter, Bobby Hutcherson. Then you have a perfect blend of the newer young guns: Arturo O'Farrell Trio, Pat Martino, Mulgrew Miller & Kenny Garrett, Ralph Moore & Roy Hargrove who round out this Need-To-Be-In-Your-Collection Compact Disc! Nuff said.
